Is there any better condiment than ranch dressing? Move over ketchup, my fries and I are having a moment with this Homemade Ranch Dressing. And not just my fries, but all my fresh veggies, hot wings, salads, and the ultimate ranch dressing BFF: pizza.

To make this dressing at home, you’ll start by mashing some garlic and salt into a thick paste.

In a large bowl, combine the garlic paste with some mayo and sour cream.

Add in some fresh herbs: dill, parsley, and chives.

Next add some Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, vinegar, paprika, and cayenne pepper for a rounded seasoning combination. And add some buttermilk to your desired consistency. Start with a small amount and work your way up from there.

Give everything a good long stir to incorporate all the flavors, adding more or less of each ingredient until you achieve ranch perfection.

You can leave it in the bowl and cover it, but I like to transfer it to a small mason jar for easy fridge storage.

Chill before serving.

This ranch is heavenly and especially so when it’s sprinkled over pepperoni pizza.

In our sleepy desert town, no one delivers; so pizza night is usually our favorite frozen pepperoni pizza from Red Baron. They’re affordable, easy to find at my local Walmart (where I may or may not have also grabbed an Edward’s New York Style Cheesecake), and the quality is amazing, with a crust that’s not too thin, not too thick, and perfectly crunchy. Red Baron® Classic Crust Pepperoni Pizza is our most favored kind here at Casa de Sosa. My dudes always eat it pepperoni first.

With football and tailgating season in full effect (Go Blue!), Red Baron pizza and Edward’s pies are the perfect addition to this season. And this Homemade Ranch Dressing travels well in a mason jar tucked away in your cooler. You can make a little space for the king of condiments in that cooler, can’t you? If you’re a passionate tailgater, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the Tailgate at Your Place Sweepstakes where you can win tons of prizes (including some instant win!), one of which is an $8,000 check! Just find the Red Baron products with the promo on the back of the packaging and enter the code here to see if you won.
