My Planner: January in Review

I don’t think I’ve done a monthly review of my planner since I’ve transferred it into a Kikki K binder, or have I? Hmmm, I’ll have to check the archives. I am absolutely in love with this system. It’s a bit of an investment to purchase both an Erin Condren Planner with a Kikki K binder, yes, but for me it’s been worth every penny. If you’re looking to try out a system using a Kikki K binder, heads up: the one I use is on clearance for under $40 right now.

My system is an Erin Condren Planner (click here for $10 off your first purchase!) that I uncoiled and punched to fit inside a lilac and gold Kikki K binder. I love the ability to remove my pages and write on them, add extra pages, toss in invitations or coupons, and add or remove to my heart’s content. I also really enjoy having the front inside portion to store paperclips, sticky tabs, extra business cards, and even my health tracker.

I sort of trailed off in my planning towards the end of the month. I took a brief break from blogging and I attribute my lack of writing/planning to being away from my desk. I’m back at it now, which is clearly seen in the last few days of the month.

I’ve been trying a different format with the morning/day/night squares and playing around with how I use them. I don’t have a set system in place as of yet and may still end up going back to my old method of separating my life into three categories rather than arranging items per the time of day.

I found a couple sets of stickers at Dollar Tree that were meant for kids, but they’re all tiny and work well in my planner, so I’ve been using them a lot thus month for appointments and such. I’m also playing around with different ways to track my daily devotional and commenting on fellow blogger’s posts. If you have any ideas, please let me know in the comments below.

In February, I’m planning to continue using my Erin Condren Life Planner because it simply satisfies all of my planning needs. However, I’m hoping to use it alongside an Emily Ley planner in hopes I’ll be able to map out some office/working hours for my life. I know several of you want me to share my thoughts and review it as well, so hopefully I’ll be able to use it enough to give a well thought out opinion.
