When it comes to Valentine’s Day, my kiddos love to show their love to family and friends. They’re grandparents are all such huge parts of their lives that we always make sure we show them how much we appreciate and love them with a small gift around this love embracing time of year. For grandparents, it just doesn’t get much better than a personalized or handmade gift, and if either of those include photos of their most favorite kiddos in the world? I think that’s pretty much what every grandparent hopes for! This guide of Valentine gifts for grandparents has something for everyone and all of them include a way to personalize the gift to make it extra special.
Coffee mug
This is my favorite idea because all of my kids grandparents love coffee. It’s an inexpensive gift (just under $11 with personalizations!) and will definitely get good use. In fact, when I received our grandparent mugs from York Photo in the mail, I wanted to keep them for myself because they were so beautiful! But I will have to let them go once Valentine’s Day arrives. I’m planning on filling them up with my Valentine’s Day Hugs & Kisses Treats before gifting them to our grandparents for an extra treat.
Fleece blanket
My mom is the blanket queen. I’m not sure if it’s a trait women inherit once they become grandmothers or what, but most every grandma I know how a collection of blankets. Well, who am I kidding, so do I! I love the idea of Grandma snuggling close on the couch or in her chair with her favorite kiddos smiling at her from a warm fleece blanket on a cold night.
Apron
This personalized apron is adorable and would be especially fun to add a photo of kiddos cooking in the kitchen with Grandma or grilling with Grandpa. I can almost guarantee this will be Grandma or Grandpas’s most favored apron to wear.
Phone case
I created one of these personalized phone cases for my own Mom, who my kids call Nanny, a couple years back. I think she likes it. Because it’s still on her phone. Ha! Maybe it’s time for an update!
Notebook
I’m obsessed with this idea. As a lover of paper and all things stationery, I can appreciate a good notebook. And I know grandma’s in particular will love pulling one of these personalized notebooks out to make grocery lists, jot down to dos, or even journal in.
Valentine’s Day is a day when we should take the extra time to let people in out lives know how much we love them. And I am never one to miss an opportunity to celebrate or spread some love around. This Valentine’s season, I encourage you to sit down with your children and ask them to make a short list of people they love and then discuss ideas on how you can express and show your love for those people. Grandpa and grandma are sure to be front runners on that list and hopefully my little round up of ideas will be helpful when deciding how to show your appreciation.
