Summer style in the desert needs to be easy breezy. At least for this excessive sweater of a lady. I keep things simple and wear breathable fabrics because I struggle with Primary Focal Hyperhidrosis (a medical condition that causes excessive sweating in a localized area), which is localized in my armpits. Not a good problem to have in the desert. Despite my dermatologists best efforts to help ease my frustration with prescription deodorant and a nightly ointment, nothing has helped. The next course of action is Botox in my pits and the thought of a needle repeatedly injecting poison into my pits over and over terrifies me. I’ll take the sweat! At least for now…ask me again when yet another white shirt is ruined with yellow stains.

Tank tops and jean shorts are my life in the summer time. But I long for a floral or feminine touch most days and I’ve found that via gorgeously printed kimonos. They’re light and airy. They keep my sweat breathing. They’re beautiful and make me feel pretty. This is pretty much my desert summer style uniform these days.

Aren’t these kimonos just the dreamiest? I’m adding each of these beauties to my style wish list. Clearly I’m a flower child hippie at heart.
