This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Weave Made Media® and DreamWorks, but all my opinions are my own. #WeaveMade #VeggieTalesFun http://my-disclosur.es/RgFrEH

I first discovered VeggieTales as a teenager. A close friend of mine had recently celebrated the birth of her baby sister and one afternoon while visiting her, we emerged from her bedroom (taking a break from our NSYNC Napster downloading sessions, no doubt) to hear Larry the Cucumber singing about his lips. And how he’d be so sad if they ever left his mouth. Packed their bags and headed south. That’d be too bad.

As a teenager, those silly songs were hilarious and I embraced characters like Barbara Manatee, Bob the Tomato, and Larry the Cucumber. As an adult, and now a mother, I love that my kids can enjoy a show with strong values and lessons of faith. VeggieTales is timeless; they’ve been creating wholesome shows, songs, and characters my kids connect with for years. In fact, it’s Evelyn’s favorite way to start her day: a fresh banana and an episode of VeggieTales.

Our favorite characters are now coming to life in the form of toys from Walmart. We couldn’t resist picking up a few of these silly friends and bringing them home for our kiddos to enjoy. My favorite character is Larry, but Evelyn adores Laura. These little plush VeggieTales toys are a perfect added element to our evening devotional time to help our kiddos get into the right mindset.
