With The Big Game right around the corner, I know I’m not the only one searching Pinterest for creative ideas to bring to a party. We usually host a few friends and their kids at our house, which is really just an excuse to eat food that fills our bellies with pure satisfaction and cheese burps. My Pinterest account is currently filled with cheesy creations, carbonated concoctions, and chocolate covered everything. When I discovered a cheesy Coca-Cola inspired dip, I made some adjustments with flavors I knew my family and friends would enjoy and whipped up a cheese dip for the record books. The not-so-secret ingredient is some Coca-Cola, which is surprising, but adds loads of flavor perfect for raw veggies or spread on a Ritz cracker.
You’ll start this recipe off with some grated cheddar and bruschetta jack (pepper jack will also work if you can’t find bruschetta jack).
Next, you’ll add a clove of garlic, some margarine, grated onion, a bit of Worcestershire, some dry mustard, a pinch of salt, and a dash of hot sauce.
Then add in some of that not-so-secret Coca-Cola ingredient.
And now you’ll mix it all up nice and smooth in your electric mixer on a low speed. Isn’t my mixer just gorgeous? I heart her.
Next, you’ll add in even more Coca-Cola and then turn up the speed of your mixer to high until the cheese dip is smooth and fluffy.
The last thing you’ll do is pack it into an air tight container and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Once it’s chilled through the night, you can plate it with crackers and top it with some diced green onions. I like the added zest and color they bring to the dip.
You can serve this heavenly Coca-Cola cheese dip with crackers, fresh veggies, or even on some crusty bread. You can find all of the ingredients at your local Walmart along with everything you need to throw a fantastic Big Game bash.
