Baymax is a beloved character in our home as of late; especially after the Oscars where Big Hero 6 won for Best Animated Feature Film. My boys have both been positively begging for me to take them to see the movie, only it’s not in theaters anymore. In fact, as of February 24th, it’s available for purchase on DVD at Target<\/a>, which is exactly where I marched after dropping them off at school Tuesday morning. Always one for a theme, I also grabbed all the fixin’s for Baymax popcorn (which is just cookies and cream popcorn) and white paper bags that I could doodle Baymax’s face on. I’m totally out of control, people, but it made for a perfect Big Hero 6<\/a> movie night, themed popcorn and all.<\/p>\n

What I thought was going to be a deeply involved and complicated recipe, actually turned out to be a breeze and left me feeling like a culinary genius, but let’s get real, I popped some popcorn and bedazzled it. Simple, but big impact that makes kids think you’re Wonder Mom. And I’m totally fine with being Wonder Mom.<\/p>\n

To get started, you’ll pop some popcorn on your stove. You’ll want roughly eight cups of popped corn for this recipe.<\/p>\n

Next, you’ll lay it all out to cool on some parchment paper.<\/p>\n

\"cookies<\/p>\n

Add some sandwich cookies to a plastic bag and smash away your troubles. You’ll need about 20 smooshed cookies.<\/p>\n

\"cookies<\/p>\n

Troubles smashed, go ahead and dust them all over the popcorn before your daughter eats it all.<\/p>\n

\"cookies<\/p>\n

\"cookies<\/p>\n

Now you’ll melt some white almond bark in your microwave. I used about 12 ounces or half a package.<\/p>\n

\"cookies<\/p>\n

Once it’s completely melted, drizzle it all over the popcorn with your spatula. There is no method to this, just go crazy.<\/p>\n

Resist the urge to pick at the freshly coated popcorn. Trust me, the urge is strong. Allow it to dry for one to two hours.<\/p>\n

While it’s drying, why not make some Baymax bags to serve it in? Just use white lunch sacks and trim down the tops a bit since we are serving kids.<\/p>\n

Baymax has the easiest face ever to draw. Two black circles and connect them with a line. Booyah!<\/p>\n

Once your popcorn is dry, serve it in your Baymax bags, cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket, pop in Big Hero 6, and enjoy a family movie night that your kids are sure to talk about for weeks after. Or at least until you can top this with another themed movie night snack<\/a>.<\/p>\n
