I am Sarah I blog over at <\/span><a target=\"_self\" href=\"http:\/\/sarahhalstead.com\/\">Whimsy &amp; Hope<\/a><span>. I blog about recipes, crafts and my life as a mom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Carsyn my four year old has Holoprosencephaly and Cerebral Palsy. We have a lot of medical bills and paper work I need to keep up with. I also do blogging as a business so I need to keep up with all my receipts. Last year I did a horrible job keeping everything organized so I vowed this year to start new and keep up with everything this year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I grabbed this expandable folder from Walmart. Since I have just started I don&#8217;t have a ton of tabs done yet but I love how many different tabs there are.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahhalstead.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Organize-Home-Files-3-740x494.jpg\" alt=\"Organize-Home-Files-3\" width=\"740\" height=\"494\"><\/p>\n<p>It came with labels, so I started labeling them with what I knew I would need.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahhalstead.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Organize-Home-Files-1-740x494.jpg\" alt=\"Organize-Home-Files-1\" width=\"740\" height=\"494\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Bills \u2013 to keep up with everything we pay out of pocket.<\/li>\n<li>Health Insurance \u2013 any documentation sent to us from our health insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Taxes \u2013 receipts from donating to thrift stores and other non-profits.<\/li>\n<li>Misc. Receipts \u2013 any receipt that doesn&#8217;t fit in one of the other categories.<\/li>\n<li>House Bills \u2013 likes tax, insurance, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Check Stubs \u2013 from Kenny&#8217;s work.<\/li>\n<li>Blog Receipts \u2013 anything I buy that is used for blogging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahhalstead.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Organize-Home-Files-740x494.jpg\" alt=\"Organize-Home-Files\" width=\"740\" height=\"494\"><\/p>\n<p>I grabbed everything I had from this year so far and started separating everything.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sarahhalstead.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Organize-Home-Files-2-740x494.jpg\" alt=\"Organize-Home-Files-2\" width=\"740\" height=\"494\"><\/p>\n<p>I like this better then using our file cabinet because it is small and I can take it where ever. I could even keep it in the car if I wanted to. That way I could automatically add in my receipts and they wouldn&#8217;t get lost.
