Since moving out here to the High Desert, I’ve started a Thanksgiving tradition of opening my home to whoever is alone or hungry on the holiday. I’ll post via my social media outlets, calling out and welcoming anyone and everyone who wants a warm meal. I whip up turkey, ham, and all the fixins while I blast the annual parade loudly over my TV. This year, I’ve already had a few inquiries, which I know means I should expect a house bursting at the seams with Thanksgiving love. If you know me personally, you know this makes my heart happy.<\/p>\n

Since I’m already expecting to serve guests a traditional over the top feast, I want to keep my beverages simple, but personal and special. I also wanted something that could easily work on it’s own or could have some alcohol added to it. When I think about holiday flavors, I think about cranberry, which makes for a great mocktail and cocktail mixer. I also found 7UP TEN<\/a> at my local Walmart, along with additional TEN flavors like A&W TEN, Sunkist TEN, and Canada Dry TEN, all of which are just ten calories per serving, which means more turkey please!<\/p>\n

To create this 7UP Ten Cranberry mocktail, you’ll start with a mason jar. Because obvs.<\/p>\n

Add some ice and pour in 7UP Ten until it’s about 3\/4 full.<\/p>\n

Next top it with cranberry juice until it’s full.<\/p>\n

If you want to add vodka to this (DUH!), you’d fill it with roughly one shot of vodka before you add the 7UP TEN.<\/p>\n

Top it with fresh cranberries to garnish (I couldn’t find ANY and I’m bitter about it!) and a stripey straw.<\/p>\n
