Our house is sort of isolated, so we&#8217;ve never greeted even one candy hunting child on Halloween night. But we started a family tradition of staying in a cabin up in Big Bear last year and we did get a few trick or treaters on the hunt for candy. Since we will be out of the cabin on our own candy collecting mission, I thought I&#8217;d create a fun way for kids to get their candy from our cabin even though we won&#8217;t be there.<\/p>\n<p>This fun pumpkin Frankenstein candy bowl was created with those craft pumpkins you can find just about everywhere right now. I just carved out a mouth hole and added some paint for this version, but the possibilities are endless. For an adult party, you could cut off the top and add in a bowl for icing your drinks. And for Thanksgiving, you could add some leaves around the base and hold some dip in it to hold people over before the feast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUPPLIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>craft pumpkin<\/li>\n<li>knife or other carving tool<\/li>\n<li>green, black, and white paint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To start, carve out a nice big mouth for Frankie. Remember, kids (and adults!) will need to be able to fit their hand inside and grab goodies, so make sure you&#8217;re generous with the opening.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourhollydays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/frankenstein-candy-bowl1.jpg\" alt=\"frankenstein candy bowl1\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"><\/p>\n<p>Next you&#8217;ll paint. I painted the inside black and then the outside green. Then I added some black hair, whites for the eyes, and then black pupils.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourhollydays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/frankenstein-candy-bowl2.jpg\" alt=\"frankenstein candy bowl2\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourhollydays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/frankenstein-candy-bowl3.jpg\" alt=\"frankenstein candy bowl3\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourhollydays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/frankenstein-candy-bowl4.jpg\" alt=\"frankenstein candy bowl4\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourhollydays.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/frankenstein-candy-bowl5.jpg\" alt=\"frankenstein candy bowl5\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"><\/p>\n<p>Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, fill your Frankie with loads of candy! Our is filled to the brim with goodies from PEEPS\u00ae and PEEPS &amp; COMPANY\u00ae like Mike &amp; Ike, Peanut Chews, and Hot Tamales (my personal fave!).
