While it’s not quite Thanksgiving, I’m already fa-la-la-ing and jingle belling to and fro. I’m baking up a storm in the kitchen (a true sign in my home that the holidays are near) and I’m serving up fun holiday punch and seasonal treats at the weekly community group meetings here in my home. My family hosts meetings with members from our church and hosting them is the highlight of my week. I love inviting people into my home, filling their bellies with something sweet, and serving tasty refreshments. It’s a place where I get to serve the people I love and embrace the heck out of my holiday-loving personality.

The past few weeks, I’ve been serving a Cranberry Orange Holiday Punch that I easily make about twenty minutes before our friends arrive. It’s a simple recipe that doesn’t overwhelm me. I love to serve, but I also know that these meetings are where I have the opportunity to connect with my community and I need to be sure I have time to honor that.

To make this recipe, I start by cutting some mandarins into fourths and add them to a large drink dispenser.

Then I add in some ice.

And an entire two liter of 7UP®.

Using a wooden spoon, I give it all a few good stirs and let the fruit do the rest of the work by infusing into the 7UP.

I enjoy displaying the drink dispenser alongside a twin one filled with water on a decorated table. Twinkle lights and gourds have been my current favorite, but I’m practically bursting to start using holly leaves, pinecones, and fir branches.

cranberry-orange-holiday-punch011When I have friends in my home, Dixie Ultra® Holiday Plates and Vanity Fair® napkins give me time to be more present and connect with the people that matter because only Dixie Ultra® Holiday Plates and Vanity Fair® napkins provide the dependability that allows me freedom from worry about clean up later. I can trust Dixie and Vanity Fair, which is why I use them every week at my gatherings. Offered in a variety of sizes, I’ve always got exactly what I need to serve whatever treat I’ve whipped up that day. Dixie Ultra® Holiday Plates can be found in the Holiday seasonal section at Target or in-aisle with the other disposable tableware items.
