My family has a Halloween tradition. My mother, sister, myself, and all our families, rent a cabin in the woods up in Big Bear. We spend several days enjoying being a family together over board games, exploring the woods, and of course, eating lots of yummy food. This year, I plan to bring plenty of Farm Rich appetizers to satisfy all of our cravings. Between tricks and treats and counting chocolate bars, we’ll be enjoying a feast of yums with plenty of dipping sauces like my Avocado Cilantro Lime Dip, which is perfect for Farm Rich Jalapeno Peppers and Breaded Mushrooms, both of which will be seeing some Big Bear Halloween action.

This Avocado Cilantro Lime Dip recipe is a great dipping sauce for a variety of appetizers and even makes an amazing salad dressing. Today I’m sharing how I whip up this easy dip with tons of flavor that pairs perfectly with my beloved Jalapeno Peppers.

I started with a couple of ripe avocados.

And then added garlic, of course!

Then I added some roughly chopped cilantro.

And added in sour cream.

Then olive oil, some kosher salt, and cracked pepper.

I took a lime, halved it, and squeezed the juice over the top.

I flipped on my food processor and blended it all together until it became creamy, stopping every so often to scrape the sides.

From here I thinned it out just slightly with some cold water.

Next I transferred it to a serving dish, covered it, and placed it in the fridge while I cooked the yummy appetizers.

I went to work on prepping the Farm Rich Jalapeno Peppers and Breaded Mushrooms. Since they both need to be baked at 450 degrees for about fifteen minutes, I used one pan for both appetizers. And getting them cooked was as easy as pulling them out of the box, placing them on the baking sheet, and popping them into the oven.

In less than twenty minutes my Farm Rich appetizers were ready and waiting to be dunked into my dip. I love this simple dip recipe because it uses just a few ingredients and it’s ready in less than ten minutes. It’s a fresh tasting dip that pairs perfectly with spicy jalapenos.

I have them on-hand in my freezer because they’re easy to make in twenty minutes or less. They’re available at Walmart, where from October 27th through 30th they’ll be hosting Halloween recipe demonstrations and featuring Farm Rich snacks and appetizers.
