Monica Gellar is my spirit animal and that’s never more prevalent than when I have an organization task to handle. Under the kitchen sink has long been neglected since we moved in and I ran out of contact paper when I was feverishly lining all the kitchen drawers and cabinets. How can you even begin to organize without contact paper, ha! See? Me and Mon get each other. Inspired by the new Palmolive® Fusion Clean™ I decided to tackle the uncharted territory underneath my kitchen sink and get things organized and clean.
A pretty scary situation to start with, I know. And who doesn’t have a giant pile of plastic bags under their kitchen sink?
The first thing I did was to completely empty the cabinet. And then I stuck down some contact paper to make things look a little more put together under that maze of pipe and tube.
Next I installed a small tension rod inside the cabinet along the upper portion. This nifty little bar is such a space saver! Wait until you see how I used it!
I used a shower caddy to store my Palmolive® Fusion Clean™, dishwasher tabs, and miscellaneous under the sink items. This was a handy solution since shower caddies are made for daily use and hold up to frequent wear and tear. Plus it’s got holes to drain any excess water that may drip as I reach for what I need from the caddy.
The tension rod! Genius little idea to store the sprays I use daily for kitchen upkeep. It frees up cabinet space where I used to store them and gives me quick and easy access. I’m absurdly excited about this little idea. I also gathered together all the plastic bags and wrangled them into a handy little canvas box.
I was able to tuck my dish drying pads right next to the shower caddy for easy access as well.
What a dramatic difference, right? Why did I wait so long to do this? I’m loving the new refreshed space.
