Here in the rural High Desert we don’t have many neighbors, but the ones we do have are the best ever. Our neighbor lady is always thinking of our kiddos and buying small gifts or snacks for them. In fact, just yesterday she asked if she could give them these adorable Christmas ring lollipops she found special for them. Once each kid was happily enjoying their treat, she gathered the boys into her wagon and took them for a ride up and down the street. During the holidays, my family likes to show how much we appreciate and love our neighbors with fun elf treats we leave on their doorstep. This year I partnered with PEEPS® to bring my neighbors the gift of Christmas Smores in a Jar with a holiday twist.
SUPPLIES
- a mason jar
- PEEPS®
- graham crackers
- chocolate
To create this festive gift in a jar, you’ll start with a clean and emptied mason jar.
The first layer is chocolate. I broke up chocolate bars into squares to fit neatly inside my jar.
Next I added festive PEEPS®. There are several options for these marshmallow treats from Christmas trees and gingerbread men to reindeer and classic PEEPS in holiday colors. I loved playing with combinations and created several jars to gift as random acts of Christmas kindness.
And for the final layer, add the graham crackers.
Seal the jars shut as tightly as you can and then decorate with festive twine and ribbon.
I used a piece of patterned craft paper to write a fun greeting and instructions on how to create easy microwaved PEEPS® smores.
