The holidays are here folks; there is no denying it now. In my home, the tree is up and bedazzled with lights and my kitchen is full of baking supplies. Food is my love language and Christmastime is when I shine and spread my love the best way I know how. This year we’ve had a particularly busy season of travels, which means I’ve had to get creative in the kitchen to find simple shortcuts that still share my love, but save me a little extra time.
These White Chocolate Dipped Molasses Cookies are store bought cookies that I added a little extra lovins to for my holiday guests. I’m always prepared during the Christmas season with some sort of baked treat and my best attempt at a put together, clean, and fresh home since unexpected guests are practically guaranteed during this festive time of year. These cookies are a cinch to make and look like I spent tons of time to make.
To start, melt some white chocolate on the stove. The best method for this is to boil some water in a deep pot and put the chocolate in a glass bowl that fits over the pot. This gently melts the chocolate without burning it.
Next, grab your favorite store bought cookies. I prefer chewy molasses cookies around this time of year. They have a similar taste to gingerbread and the rich color contrasts beautifully with the white chocolate. Take a cookie and dip it into the white chocolate.
And then dunk the still wet chocolate into some festive sprinkles.
Transfer the cookie to a sheet of wax paper to dry and then repeat the process with the rest of the cookies.
The cookies take roughly an hour to dry completely, which is just enough time for me to deep clean my carpets. Yes, in an hour. Because my BISSELL is a rockstar.
My kids and our dog are no match for my new BISSELL. We fostered a dog awhile back and he took to making my son’s bedroom his personal restroom. We tried several tricks and techniques to rid the room of the smell to no avail. I finally tried out the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner with their Professional Pet Urine Eliminator Formula and now it’s my BFF. Not only did it work, but with the Express Clean mode, it cleaned my carpets from start to dry in just over an hour. The two rotating power brushes scrubbed deep into where all that stink was hiding and the antibacterial formula ensured the deepest clean possible. Between holiday projects riddled with glitter, our dog’s hair shedding, and my messy melted chocolate recipe, my floors are protected and I’m prepared for any holiday mess that comes my way.
